Prompt 78: Sing these hands.

August 5, 2016 Jascha Hoffman Prompts

This week we return to a visual prompt. And … here it is:

MovingStarHands

Your task is simply to use the image as a jumping off point for singing.

Your vocal improvisation might be simple, melodic, rhythmic, verbal, abstract, silly, sacred, simple — that’s for you to discover.

(This photo was taken at the summer meeting of the Moving Star Vocal Improvisation Lab at Carnegie Hall.)

To Contribute

The steps are as follows:

  • Step 0: Sign up for a free SoundCloud account here.
  • Step 1: Record yourself singing to the prompt.
  • Step 2: Upload to SoundCloud.

Deadline: Your tracks should be uploaded by midnight wherever you are on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.
